Description

We are looking for a proactive customer service professional to join our critical operating team.  

This position manages all aspects of customer, governmental agency, and railroad interfaces for the international operations of the International Customer Care & Support (ICC&S) related to the processes for international trade between the United States (US), Mexico and Canada.  This position identifies and implements process improvement opportunities that exceed customer expectations for information to effectively manage their international business.

Accountabilities

  • Manage daily data exchange and transaction processing with customers and US and Mexican freight forwarders and brokers.
  • Manage daily exception processes with US, Mexican and Canadian governmental agencies and railroads, and initiate modifications to railroad tactical operating plans. 
  • Analyze and resolve international train approval process issues and provide initial investigations into US customs penalties. 
  • Plan, coordinate, document and track monthly meetings between US, Mexican and Canadian governmental agencies, and railroads. 
  • Manage shipment processes for customers and freight forwarders and brokers, conduct reviews and analyze information and workflow processes making recommendations for improvements and assisting in process refinement and implementation.
  • Provide support to customers. 

Qualifications - Required

  • Bilingual fluent in business English/Spanish both written and verbal
  • A high school diploma or Graduate Equivalency Diploma (GED)

Qualifications - Preferred

  • A bachelor’s degree in business or related
  • Five years of Railroad experience

Physical and Mental Job Requirements

  • This position is based out of the International Customer Care & Support building, in San Antonio, TX.
  • Open plan, call center work environment.
  • This position spends extended hours in front of a computer screen, answering multiple calls/cases per shift.

Work Conditions

  • This position supports 24/7 Operations and required to work/cover days, nights, weekends and holidays.
