Description
As a Culture Team Intern within Union Pacific’s Human Resources department, you’ll play an active role in advancing initiatives that promote a strong, inclusive, and engaging workplace culture. This internship provides hands-on experience in project planning and execution, cross-functional collaboration, and exposure to strategic HR efforts that shape employee engagement across the organization.
Interns will take ownership of award submission processes, support key administrative functions, and contribute to high-impact initiatives that drive cultural alignment. This role offers a unique opportunity to work closely with HR leaders, gain insight into how Union Pacific fosters employee engagement, and build meaningful connections across departments through collaborative, purpose-driven projects.

The estimated wage for this position is $21.00–$24.00 per hour. Final rate of pay will be based on several factors including year of study, qualifications, experience, and internal equity.
Accountabilities
- Develop and execute project action plans to support culture-building initiatives
- Support cross-functional projects and/or strategic initiatives
- Build and strengthen a network of professional contacts within departments and across the company
- Own and execute award submission processes
- Complete administrative tasks
- Create/update standard work as work processes evolve
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications - Required
- College credits equivalent to one year toward an undergraduate degree
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills
- Basic organization, prioritization and time/project management skills
