Union Pacific is seeking self-motivated and passionate summer interns to gain valuable experience in the fields of marketing and sales. Start "Building America" from day one. Our internships offer you a mix of work experience, professional development and networking opportunities. We design our internships to introduce you to Union Pacific and the career opportunities we have in store.


As a Summer Intern, you will build knowledge and experience in our core business groups and their vision, business objectives, processes, systems, and services. The intern will have extensive contact with peers and interaction with senior leaders. There will be opportunities to put your leadership, technical skills, and business knowledge to immediate use through high value project assignments. Internships available in core department business groups may be determined by business need.


  • Assist with project management for various company initiatives and complete administrative tasks and special projects 
  • Perform other duties as assigned 
  • Learn and perform core department business group work tasks, processes, and customer services 
  • Perform administrative support for department business group managers 
  • Develop and execute project action plans and perform team assignments 
  • Build and strengthen a network of professional contact within departments and across the company 

Qualifications - Required

  • College credits equivalent to one (1) year or more toward an undergraduate degree
  • Basic organization AND prioritization skills
  • Basic time and project management skills
  •  Proficient verbal and written communication skills
