The salary range for this position is $52,000 - $70,000.

Description
Provide high quality dining and beverage services for Union Pacific staff and their key stakeholder guests at company sponsored hospitality events and venues. Venues may include Heritage Operations passenger car functions and trips, UP Center events, and various other event venues held across the continental USA. Additionally, housekeeping services will be required when on Heritage Operations passenger cars. Must have significant experience as a bartender, server, and/or housekeeping. This position has high visibility and interaction with UP executives and Board of Directors. Will require staying current with fine dining and service trends and meeting individual guest requirements. This position provides world class service in a confined space. Able to make oneself available for last minute schedule changes and additions.
Accountabilities
- Safely provide high quality, detailed, seamless dining, and beverage services to guests in a professional manner
- Provide assistance to executive chefs in food preparation, when necessary
- Safely provide high quality, detailed seamless dining service including cleaning and turnover of guest rooms and other equipment on the train
- Maintain impeccable hospitality and quality standards for guests
- Ensure safety, cleanliness, and proper maintenance if work environment
- Ensure guest satisfaction in a professional manner
- Inventory linens, crystal, china, and other equipment
- Manage and track expenditures
- Maintain DOT compliance to operate company vehicle if necessary
- Ensuring cost efficiency to stay within annual budget
- Promote teamwork and always treat team members and others with respect
- Acceptance of additional tasks when required to assist team members for successful execution of events
- Requisition of supplies
- Provide a safe environment resulting in no accidents or injury
- Lead role in pre-arrival preparation per set standards and host requests
- Lead role in guest greeting, orientation, and all other aspects of hospitality
- Post departure activities; cleaning and restocking of supplies
Qualifications - Required
- A high school diploma or Graduate Equivalency Diploma (GED)
- Strong customer service experience and team working skills
Qualifications - Preferred
- An Associate's degree in Hospitality Services
- 3+ years experience in the hospitality industry
- Licensed or certified as a bartender
Physical and Mental Job Requirements
- Able to exert physical strength sufficient to lift and carry objects, and be able to bend, stoop and work overhead
- Able to lift and carry objects weighing up to 40 lbs
Work Conditions
- Travel up to 75% of the time. This job may require working up to 12-16 hours per day for limited times.

The final salary of the selected candidate for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, experience, education, specialty and training. This position also includes additional compensation and benefits offered by Union Pacific.
This position is eligible for participation in the Union Pacific Annual Compensation Program. This is a pay-for-performance program which administers annual salary adjustments, cash incentive bonuses and stock equity as determined by individual performance, company performance and program guidelines.
