Accountabilities

•    Design, develop, test, implement, and maintain REST API.

•    Utilize Agile development practices – sprint planning, backlog grooming, code reviews, etc.

•    Document technical development tickets, with focus on attention to detail.

•    Value diverse, inclusive teams and creating an environment where people of all identities, experiences, and backgrounds can thrive.

•    Own and solve problems across technology and business teams.

•    Use modern solutions to automate and retire legacy tools/solutions.

•    Identify root causes, set next steps, take decisive action, and communicate effectively by jumping into uncharted territory.

•    Select frameworks, develop and communicate common solutions, develop/improve standards.

•    Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications - Required

  • A bachelor's degree (foreign equivalent accepted) in computer science, management information systems, or a related field.
  • 5 years of progressively responsible experience in software development or a related occupation.
  • 5 years SQL experience.
  • 5 years Java experience.
  • 5 years Spring Boot experience.
  • 5 years REST API development experience.
  • 5 years version control system experience.
  • 5 years build tool experience.
  • 2 years of railroad pricing application and standards knowledge.
  • Must pass background check investigation and medical review.
