How do I sign up for job alerts?

ANSWER: If there are no current opportunities that match your interests, you can create a job alert. This system will send you emails when job opportunities that align with your interests become available. You can set up job alerts by clicking the "Create Alert" button on a specific job posting or by specifying search criteria on any jobs page. Job notifications stay active for 6 months and will become inactive if no further action is taken to keep them active.

How do I reset my password for my UP.jobs account?

ANSWER: To reset your UP.jobs password, go to our homepage and click on "Careers Sign Up/Login". Then, click on "Forgot Password" and enter the email address associated with your account. Click on "Send Recovery Email" to initiate the process. Check your email inbox (including spam or junk folder) for an email from UP.jobs that contains a link to reset your password. Please note that the reset link is valid for 24 hours. If the link expires, you can request a new reset link by following the same instructions.

How do I update my email address?

ANSWER: The email address linked to your account as the User ID cannot be modified. However, you can change your email in the candidate profile under Profile Information, and this change will apply to future applications. If you wish to update the email connected to a submitted application, you can only do so if the status is "Thanks for applying!". Simply click on the application, edit the email under "Job-Specific Information", and click "Update". The email associated with the application is where all email communications will be sent.

I cannot remember which email I used to create my account?

ANSWER: If you applied to Union Pacific before July 6, 2023, you will need to create a new account on UP.jobs. However, if you applied after that date, you can use the "forgot email" functionality to search for your previous account. In the event that you are unable to locate your account after multiple searches, please submit a ticket for assistance.
