Transportation
Our Transportation Department moves Union Pacific's locomotives and freight across the UP system safely and on time.
Mechanical
The Mechanical Department maintains and repairs our fleet of 7,700 locomotives and 57,000 rail cars.
Engineering
The Engineering department is responsible for building and maintaining Union Pacific's infrastructure, which includes track, roadways, signals, bridges and buildings.
Administrative
Individuals in our administrative departments work behind the scenes to help teams across the system meet the needs for our customers. Teamwork and dedication will ensure that we're all able to continue building America.
Telecommunications
Our telecommunications network is one of the largest in the United States. This is our railroad's central nervous system and this state-of-the-art technology ensures that all freight arrives exactly where and when it's needed.
