Description

Union Pacific's wholly owned subsidiary, Loup Logistics, is looking for interns to support their various teams! Specific teams that are hiring include the Marketing, Sales, Pricing and Operations teams. As an intern, you will build knowledge and experience in our core business groups and their vision, business objectives, processes, systems, and services. You will have extensive contact with peers and interaction with senior leaders. There will also be an opportunity to put your leadership, technical skills, and business knowledge to immediate use through high value project assignments.


This position will be administered as a paid year round internship and provides hands-on experience in a fast-paced business environment with one of America's leading transportation and logistics companies. The work schedule is flexible and can be designed to accommodate the course commitments of the successful candidate. A flexible work schedule includes up to 25 hours per week during the school year and up to 40 hours per week during the summer months.

 

The estimated wage for this position is between $20.00 -$26.00 per hour. Final rate of pay will be based on several factors including year of study, qualifications, experience, and internal equity.

Accountabilities

  • Learn and perform core department business group work tasks, processes, and customer services
  • Perform administrative support for department business group managers
  • Develop and execute project action plans and perform team assignments
  • Build and strengthen a network of professional contacts within departments and across the company
  • Assist with project management for various company initiatives and complete administrative tasks and special projects
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications - Required

  • College credits equivalent to one year toward an undergraduate or graduate degree
  • Proficient verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic organization, prioritization and time/project management skills

Qualifications - Preferred

  • College credits towards a degree in Business Administration or Supply Chain Management

Physical and Mental Job Requirements

  • This position requires extended periods of sitting and extended hours in front of computer screens
  • Maintain concentration, focuses on tasks and can make timely decisions 

Work Conditions

  • Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
